Anger itself isn't considered a mental health disorder but it can be a symptom of several other conditions such as depression, OCD and bipolar disorder. It can also be triggered by substance abuse. If you are struggling with anger issues but don't have an underlying mental health condition, the services below are an excellent resource to offer you advice and guidance.

All Saints Youth Project (ASYP) (Age 11-19)

ASYP provides counselling, recreational and informal educational opportunities for young people aged 11-19 years old (up to 25 years old for those with disabilities) and their parents. Support for those struggling with: relationships, feeling down/upset, past things that are difficult to cope with, making decisions, confidence and self-esteem. This team accepts self-referrals.

Living Well Consortium (Age 16+)

The Living Well Consortium offers free health and wellbeing services across the West Midlands including counselling, self-help, therapy, creative therapies, support services and wellbeing services. Support is available for individuals struggling with a number of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, OCD, anger, emotion regulation, PTSD and coping with long-term health conditions. This team accepts self-referrals.
